If you’re reading this on here there is no call to tell you who Walker was or what he did.
In my opinion while not the greatest of actors he was a genuine car fanatic and suited his role to a tee. In his personal life he competed in time attack series’ and owned numerous performance cars, even the silver V-Spec II Skyline he drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious was his own car.
Yesterday at 3.30pm in Valencia, California, Walker and Roger Rodas (CEO of Walker’s performance shop Ever Evolving) left a event held by his charity Reach Out Worldwide in a Porsche Carrera GT with Rodas driving. Shortly the car left the road, collided with a tree and burst into flames. Both occupants were confirmed dead at the scene.
Needless to say Paul Walker will be sadly missed, there is no doubt he was a huge part of something which shaped us and our scene more than 10 years ago and was continuing to entertain us to the present day.
